About the Speaker:
Kathryn Flanigan has been a Nurse Practitioner for 25 years. She worked at a community health centre for 9 years and has spent over 15 years at a Family Health Team in Kitchener-Waterloo. Her interests include smoking cessation and all things Women's Health, including menopause, contraception counselling, incontinence, prolapse, and pessary fitting and management. She is the lead clinician for the Women's Health Procedure Clinic, offering IUS insertions, endometrial biopsies, and vulvar biopsies. She is also an adjunct clinical professor at McMaster University and regularly offers presentations on a variety of health issues for medical residents. Kathryn joined the NP Circle Advisory Board to support the NP role and provide mentorship to her colleagues. She looks forward to collaborating with and learning from other NPs in the community.
